Disaster
A natural disaster is the consequence which must be accepted as natural hazards (eg, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, tsunamis or landslides) affect humans or the environment occupied by the man himself. Human vulnerability, caused by a lack of appropriate emergency management, resulting in financial impacts, environmental, or human. The resulting loss depends on the capacity of the population to support or reject the disaster: their resilience. This understanding is concentrated in the formulation: "disasters occur when hazards meet vulnerability". Natural hazards it will never lead to a natural disaster in areas without vulnerability, eg strong earthquakes in uninhabited areas.
Lately a lot of natural disasters in our world as an example: the earthquake and tsunami in Mentawai, West Sumatera. Who knows how many thousands of lives are not saved, because of the many citizens who reside in the vicinity of the shoreline will also slow notification of the occurrence of tsunamis in the area, so the residents are too late to save themselves. It was really very alarming and a deep wound to all Indonesian citizens. Not out of grief about the tsunami in Mentawai, eruption of Mount Merapi in Central Java re-occur, whereas only 4 years away from the eruption that occurred in 2006. The eruption was left crying for the people of Indonesia. Maybe this is all a trial from God to us all, for we all become more patient and more concerned with other people.
